This yoga series is for men looking to experience the benefits of strength, flexibility, and increased range of motion that yoga has to offer!
It can feel intimidating to walk into a yoga class amongst seasoned practitioners...which is why we wanted to make space for men to practice and learn together!

All beginners and first timers are welcome, no experience or flexibility is required. Each session will have a specific focus: Head/Neck/Shoulders, Back, Hips, Feet & Knees. Classes will move slowly and intentionally, no one will be left behind. Kevin has extensive knowledge about alignment and generously utilizes props to help support and facilitate openness in the body. 

Please sign up ahead of time. 5 Students minimum required to hold the series.

 

Weekly Classes

Restorative 
Monday 7:30p-8:30p Sign Up

Just like it sounds: Restorative is all about accommodating different levels and needs throughout this class, you’ll get to use lots of our studio props! With assistance from blocks and bolsters and blankets, you can explore your comfort and flexibility in different postures. You’ll spend more time enjoying each pose as they become more comfortable for the body, the mind can also come to a place of rest. You’ll leave feeling restored.

 

Align & Form 
Thursdays 6p-7p Sign Up

A class that is all about Alignment. In this class, you will utilize loads of props: blocks, straps, chairs, & the wall to help encourage your awareness of your body & proper form in yoga. 

 This a great opportunity for you to build fundamentals & to deepen your awareness of each pose.

About Kevin:

Kevin completed his 200hr teacher hatha/ashtanga training in 2015 on a 28 day immersion in Bali, Indonesia. He attended two 10-Day Vipassana Meditation Retreats- Feb 2017 & Nov 2018. Vipassana means, “Insight”. The technique offers discerning understanding into the fluctuations of the mind.

In November 2020, Kevin began Tibetan Sound Healing training with Danielle Dvorak. His training has continued for yearly immersions into developing & creating better sound experience.

During covid in 2020, he discovered Yoga On The Inside, the online teaching of Eddie Modestini and Kristin Bosteels. This led to consistent practice and learning poses in a deeper, more purposeful way. Developing the endurance to place the mind in the tissues and open the body while attempting to maintain mental equilibrium. This led to his 300 HR training led by Iyengar teacher, Gabriel Halpern that focused on the therapeutics of yoga, using props to work with injuries, pre/post surgery, or understanding a posture from a different perspective. He graduated in August 2023. These trainings and teachers have helped develop Kevin’s voice and perspective into a safe and insightful asana practice, and aims to honor the tradition of yoga with its benefits and transformative potential in modern day.

Restorative Yoga & Sound: 
Using props, Kevin will assist you in finding comfort in postures that allow for deep relaxation. Tibetan sound techniques may be offered to further support tension release.

Yoga Foundations: Develop postural awareness and an understanding of foundational yoga poses. Connect to your body’s proprioception and learn skills to advance your practice.

Meditation: Implementing a variety of techniques, including visualization, sensory, sound, breathing practices & more, connect to yourself on a deeper level. Great for both stress release and pursuit of manifesting your highest good.
